Group Programs - Group: Summer USA - Thornton Academy Maine

Thornton Academy's Summer Camp is a 2-week program that brings students to Maine's natural wonderland! Students will attend classes with high school teachers before lunch and will have wonderful activities in the afternoon, like sports, hiking, whitewater rafting, and visiting local universities. Students will stay in the school's beautiful dorm and will enjoy their meals at the school's premium cafeteria. The weekend trips include Boston, Harvard & MIT Campuses, Portland, Lobster cruise, and much more. The program cost includes airport transfers, tuition for classes, full room & board, medical insurance, support of the local coordinator, and activities per agenda.

  • Student Orientation, Settling in & Welcome Party
Program Activities & Attractions
  • Classes with High School teachers (Choices of English, Robotics, Programming, Photography, Acting, Marine Ecology, Climate Change, Musical Theater, Visual Arts, Painting, Yoga)
  • Afternoon Activities:  sports on campus, hiking, shopping, lobster cruise & tasting, s'mores & campfire.
Weekend Trips

  • Trips to Boston to visit MIT and Harvard, hiking in beautiful state and national parks, taking a ferry boat to a remote ocean island,

    whitewater rafting and more!
