Before you start working with Edventours students, the following steps need to take place as part of our field staff hiring & training process:

  • Submission and processing of your Local Coordinator (LC) Application.
  • Submission and approval of your Criminal Background Check (CBC): after you submit your LC application, you will receive an email with a link to the designated CBC website to complete your secure CBC submission.
  • Reference check conducted by the National Office Staff.
  • Phone interview conducted by the National Office staff.
  • Online Local Coordinator Training to ensure you are knowledgeable about your role and responsibilities, and are able to represent Edventours well in your community.

Local Coordinator Application Submission & Acknowledgement

I, the undersigned, wish to be a Local Coordinator with Edventours and understandand that a position requires work with international minors and, therefore, is contigent on passing a criminal background check and references. If the background search results in a record being found, I will be contacted by Edventours compliance staff and given an opportunity to clarify. If, after clarification, it is determined that the record is in error, the position offer will be permitted. If the record is not an error but also not significant to the welfare of a potential student, as determined by Edventours, the position offer can still be permitted: information with an explanation will be kept on file.
